Today in plant collections unit I pricked out and potted on 70 cabbage seedlings into six pack punnets. The cultivar was 'sweet eureka'.
In the afternoon we had turf unit and listened to our tutor speak about various diseases and pests affecting amenity turf. After that we inspected the readylawn we had laid two weeks previously and each had a go at using the push-reel mower to give it a trim. For best results a lawn should be trimmed little but often, taking no more than 1/3 off the length of the grass blade.
