In propagation class today I took 9 cuttings of Cupressus macrocarpa "Golden Halo".
Lisa our tutor discussed different types of cutting techniques and those that were preferable for evergreen hardwood cuttings(which is what we were taking).
Three types of cuttings are, Heel, Stem or Mallet. I chose to take three cuttings of each technique suggested.
Evergreen hardwood cuttings take a long time to take root as it takes longer for the cells in the cambrian layer on hardwood to de-differentiate into cells able to then produce roots.

Monitoring my other propagation attempts I noticed that my sweetpea seeds/sprouts started to overgrow the seed tray. There are 25 seedlings in total and I potted them on into RX90 containers with our regular potting mix. They already had rootballs that almost filled the pots so they will need to be re-potted/transplanted in as little as two-three weeks.
I also note my Phebalium 'illumination' cuttings have almost all grown roots and next propagation class I will pot them on into RX90 containers.
