Today in Plant Collections class I pricked out and potted on 24 rhubarb seedlings.
I also started brewing 100L of compost tea.
Compost Tea:
100L aerated water.
500g compost
150ml humates
100ml molasses
20ml fish hydrolysate OR 50mg seaweed powder
Aerate the mix for 24-48 hours then apply to garden immediately...it will grow funky if left to its own devices!
This afternoon we were given an introduction to our Plant ID unit.
This unit will involve identifying and describing 15 different plants/trees/shrubs using either specimens or photographs. I intend to attempt to fill my collection with examples of native plants.
